Manish Malhotra to cast Kriti Sanon in his biographical film on 'Meena Kumari'

Manish Malhotra, a renowned Indian fashion designer, is all set to make his directorial debut with a biographical film on the legendary actress Meena Kumari.

As per Times of India reports, Malhotra will direct Kriti Sanon in the biopic, and it will release under the Bhushan Kumar T-Series banner.

The designer wants to recreate the magic of Meena Kumari and shed light on her acting career.

Meena is one of the popular actresses of the 90s and is best known for her timeless performance and emotive portrayal.

The Pakeezah actress died due to cirrhosis of the liver at the age of 38. Kumari's famous work includes Leather Face, Adhuri Kahani, Pooja, and Ek Hi Bhool.

Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon will be next seen in Dinesh Vijan’s untitled film.
