Elon Musk stumped about unpredictable macroeconomic situation

Tesla CEO Elon Musk expressed concern over the uncertain macroeconomic situation.

The economy has been on a tumultuous ride these past three years as it has taken a hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, inflation, rate hikes and recession fears.

Musk, therefore, seemed to be vexed by the situation and shared his two cents during a second-quarter earnings call.

"One day, it seems like the world economy is falling apart, next day, it's fine. I don't know what the hell is going on," he said.

The Twitter CEO further added, "We're in, I would call it, turbulent times.”

"I don't have a crystal ball for the global economy. I'd really appreciate it, if I could borrow that crystal ball," Musk expressed reservations.

To note, Tesla reportedly cut-down on prices for its electric vehicles to keep up pace with the economy and rising interest rates.
