Brahmastra makers landed themselves into trouble due to the last-minute cancellation of a colossal event featuring Jr. NTR, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt, reportedly incurring losses worth INR 1.50 crore.

The pre-release event was reportedly set to feature performances from Jr NTR, as well as lovebird Alia and Ranbir, along with Karan Johar.

According to Pinkvilla, a source close to the production said, "There was proper police permission but due to overcrowding the permission was revoked the makers must have lost about INR 1.50 crore."

The event’s highlight was a performance by Jr. NTR along with the entire film unit including Ranbir, Alia, and Mouni Roy.

The sources also stated that the proposed event clashed with a religious event which would have hurt the sentiments of the devotees.

A brainchild of Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra is all set to hit screens on September 9, 2022.
