She said, "I can't believe there aren't more books about first marriages failing. I've read a lot of literature about divorce, but it tends to be about families ending after children have grown up."

She believes that societal shifts, particularly in women's financial independence, have altered the dynamics of marriage.

Ratajkowski asserts that women, no longer bound by outdated norms, should not be shackled by the stigma of ending relationships that no longer serve their well-being.
