Jack Hogan was a retired actor who died of natural causes

Jack Hogan, a retired American actor, died of natural causes at the age of 94 on December 6 at his home on Bainbridge Island, Washington.

According to Variety, Hogan’s son, West told the outlet of his father’s death.

Hogan,who used to star in the WWII drama series, Combat! from 1962 until 1967, played the character of PFC William G. Kirby on the ABC series starring Rick Jason, Pierre Jalbert and Vic Morrow.

The show was centered around a group of American soldiers fighting against the Germans in France during WWII. The show had a total of five seasons.

The deceased actor leaves behind ex-wife Joyce Nizzari, daughter Tehani Hogan, son West Hogan, nephew Kipland Howard, granddaughter Kai and grandson Skyler.

About Jack Hogan:

Jack Hogan was born on November 24, 1929, in Chapel Hill and earned his pilot’s license at the age of 16.

He joined the Air Force after graduation and spent four years serving as a staff sergeant in Japan during the Korean War.

After shifting to Hollywood, Hogan worked as a lifeguard at the Beverly Hills Hotel and began taking acting classes at the Pasadena Playhouse.

Hogan made his onscreen debut as an uncredited role in the 1956 Anthony Quinn starrer, Man From Del Rio.

He then appeared as a guest on multiple TV series in the 1950's and 1960's, including Dr. Christian, The Rough Riders, Sea Hunt, Tombstone Territory, Lock Up, Bat Masterson, Lawman, 87th Precinct and more.

His motion picture projects include, The Bonnie Parker Story in 1958, Paratroop Command and The Legend of Tom Dooley in 1959 and The Cat Burglar in 1961.

In addition to acting, Hogan worked in the casting department for Magnum, P.I. from 1981 to 1983.
