Seinfeld actor Peter Crombie passed away at the age of 71 on Saturday, January 13, 2024.

Peter Crombie was best known for him role as 'Crazy' Joe Davola in the show.

The news of the passing was announced by his ex wife, Nadina Kijner through an Instagram post.

Kijner shared series of pictures from their wedding and expressed her 'shock and sadness' in the heartfelt caption.


She wrote, "It is with shock and extreme sadness that I share my Ex-husband died this morning."

"Thank you for so many wonderful memories and being such a good man. Fly free into the Un-boundless source of light, Peter. May you be greeted with love by your parents, and Oliver. So so many people loved you because you were a kind, giving, caring and creative Soul," she further added.

Peter Crombie career:

The Born on the Fourth of July actor's career spanned over three decades, amassing more than 35 acting credits in both television and film.

From his debut in the 1987 TV movie Broken Vows to his more recent role in the 2000 TV series Walker, Texas Ranger as Detective Moody, he showcased his versatility and talent.

Hollywood actors mourn the death of Peter Crombie:

Comedian Lewis Black described the late actor as a 'gifted artist' and praised his intelligence.

He took to X and expressed, "Am heartbroken by the death of my good friend Peter Crombie. He was a gifted artist. Not only was he a wonderful actor but an immensely talented writer. More importantly he was as sweet as he was intelligent and I am a better person for knowing him."

However, Bill Stetz remembered him as a 'gentle and loyal friend,' stating in a Facebook post, "It is with a sad heart that today, I convey that my good friend Peter Crombie has passed away. For those who knew him, he was a gentle and loyal friend of soft words and expressive work as an actor and a writer. Rest in peace, Peter."
