Princess Diana’s former lover makes new claim about the late royal
Princess Diana’s former lover has recently made new claim about late royal on British television show
Princess Diana stormed up a scandalous storm when she dated former cavalry officer in the British Army, James Hewitt, during the late 80s till early 90s.
The mother of Princes William and Harry sparked a relationship with the officer while still married to their father, then-Prince of Wales, Charles.
Now, James has shared details not-yet-known about the late Princess.
In an interview on the TV show, Good Morning Britain, Diana’s ex-beau slammed BBC host Martin Bashir for his 1995 bombshell interview with the former Princess of Wales.
James said that Martin and the BBC “inveigled” and “lied” their way into an interview with King Charles’ former wife.
“I think it’s appalling,” the former officer said.
Notably, Prince William has also condemned the host and the British broadcaster for scamming his mother into the interview.
The current Prince of Wales and future king revealed in 2021 that he was “most saddened” about the whole ordeal after an inquiry into the BBC’s handling of the matter was found to be below standard.
However, Diana had also accused James of betraying her in the past.
“I was absolutely devastated,” the Princess had shared in the same BBC interview regarding her ex spilling secrets about their relationship in Anna Pasternak’s 1994 book titled, Princess in Love.
“I was in love with him. But I was very let down,” Diana had said.
Diana and James first met each other at a cocktail party in 1986. The Princess had asked the officer and polo player to give her riding lessons.
They ended their relationship in 1991 but chose to remain friends.
