Christmas 2022: Busting 3 Myths about Santa Claus

Christmas 2022 is around the corner and Santa Claus is about to arrive!

Holidays are the best part of the year and everyone waits for a kind man dressed up in red, all set to spread joy and light.

However, Santa Claus has so many myths associated with its existence. Hence, here are 3 myths about the figure of joy that might get busted today.

1. Santa enjoys a full meal!

There is a popular myth that Santa Claus survives on cookies, which is completely wrong. Logically, a body as giant as Santa's can’t survive merely on cookies. Hence, Santa has the ability to eat a wholesome meal all by himself.

2. ‘Claus’ in the name stands for claws!

Another popular myth about Santa Claus is that he has claws and it is because the word ‘Claus’ reminds people of claws. But, Santa doesn’t have claws, instead, the name itself is shortened and a mispronounced version of St. Nicholas from Turkey. Hence, there is no need to be afraid, kids, Santa is still your friend.

3. Red is Santa’s colour!

Although red is one of Santa’s colours, but there is no evidence that he wears that colour all year long.

He does dress up in red on Christmas, but for the rest of the year, he dresses up in colours he likes. Hence, the myth about red being his colour is somehow wrong.

There are so many more myths about him, yet if something matters, it is the presence of the joyous man who brings laughter to every face that has been brought down by the world.

Merry Christmas!
