Piper Rockelle shares perspective on cheating
The influencer rose to fame at age 8 after appearing in YouTube videos shared by her mother
Piper Rockelle has opened up about the sad reality of society and how she understands this at a very young age.
In an exclusive interview with People, the 18-year-old former child YouTuber admits that fame at a young age has changed her perspective on relationships.
“Each time I do trust someone, it just proves another reason why I shouldn’t,” Rockelle said, adding, “Humans can’t help but lie or cheat.”
Rockelle rose to fame at age 8 after appearing in YouTube videos shared by her mother, later becoming the face of the viral Piper Squad.
The empire collapsed in 2022 following allegations made against her mother, which were later settled without an admission of wrongdoing and revisited in Netflix’s 2025 docuseries Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Kidfluencing.
Now newly 18, Rockelle said she has accepted the emotional cost of fame.
“I don’t think anyone takes my relationships or friendships seriously,” she said. “So I just don’t take most of them seriously either.”
Despite moments of wanting to walk away, Rockelle said she is not leaving the internet.
“This is all I’ve ever wanted,” Rockelle said. “I’m not going to let anyone take it away from me.”
