Prince Harry visits DC ahead of King Charles' US tour
Prince Harry attended a major D.C. event on privacy and online safety
Prince Harry was seen in Washington, D.C., for an infrequent public appearance at one of the top global forums concentrating on privacy, AI, and online safety.
On March 31, the 41-year-old Duke of Sussex spoke at the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Conference, joining a key conversation at the IAPP Global Summit.
This event is recognised as “the largest annual gathering for digital responsibility professionals, drawing top specialists in privacy, AI governance, and cybersecurity law.”
Harry was seen waving on stage and engaging with attendees at the event, which was scheduled a few weeks before his father, King Charles, is expected in D.C. for a state visit.
Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have prioritised online safety and digital responsibility in their charitable efforts since they stepped away from their royal duties in the UK in 2020.
Previously, they issued a statement commending a pioneering decision against YouTube and Meta.
The IAPP event brought Prince Harry from his Californian residence, where he, Meghan, and their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, live.
On the same day, Prince Harry took the stage as Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles will embark on a state visit to the US in late April.
The palace revealed that the King, 77, and Queen Camilla, 78, are planning a visit overseas next month to celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence.
More specifics will be available in time, and the visit will be at the invitation of President Donald Trump.
