Dakota Johnson gets mom’s seal of approval for new romance

The actress recently described the romance as “fabulous” in a video shared by Deuxmoi, giving the couple her full approval.

When asked if the relationship had her blessing, Griffith responded simply, “Of course [they] do.”

Johnson, 36, has been linked to the 28-year-old musician, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury, since December.

The pair were recently spotted attending a concert by Paul McCartney in Los Angeles, further fueling interest in their relationship.

Beyond her dating life, Johnson has often credited her mother for shaping her confidence and self-image.

Speaking in a previous interview, the actress praised Griffith for encouraging body positivity from a young age.

“My mom was just very open about the topic of bodies,” Johnson said. “She taught us how to take care of our bodies and love them… that our bodies are beautiful.”

The Verity star added that such early affirmations played a crucial role in her self-worth. “If you’re not told from a young age… that you’re perfect and smart and special and strong and brave, it can really break you,” she explained, calling her mother’s influence a “huge gift.”

Johnson also addressed ongoing conversations around her bold red carpet style, making it clear she remains unfazed by criticism. “I really don’t care,” she said, adding that she chooses outfits based on what makes her feel confident and comfortable.
