‘Power Book IV: Force’ creator Gary Lennon unveils new crime drama ‘Los Feliz’ on Starz

Esteemed Peabody Award-winning producer, showrunner, and writer Gary Lennon (Power Book IV: Force, Hightown) is crafting a new crime drama titled Los Feliz for Starz.

Los Feliz is an intense crime thriller that explores how an affair wreaks havoc on friendships, marriages, and careers, culminating in a murder case that splits a community apart. If the lies don't tear them down, the truth definitely will.

This series takes place in the Los Angeles area with the same name, located near Hollywood. All 8 episodes are being penned by Lennon.

In addition to Los Feliz, Lennon has been working on the new “Power” Universe spinoff series Power: Legacy (a working title) for Starz since last June.

He is managing both projects alongside each other as Power: Legacy remains in development.

If and when Legacy gets the green light for a series, it would advance the timeline from where Power Book IV: Force left off in its series finale.

It would join Power: Origins, a prequel to the Power series by Sascha Penn, on Starz’s lineup. Lennon was the showrunner, writer, director, and executive producer for Force, starring Joseph Sikora, who is anticipated to lead Legacy alongside Michael Rainey Jr., the star of Power Book II: Ghost.

Lennon was also the co-showrunner for the final season of the original Power series and an executive producer for the series.

In 2024, Lennon renewed his agreement with Lionsgate Television, the studio producing the Power franchise created by Courtney A. Kemp.

According to the deal, he will continue collaborating with Lionsgate Television and Starz on developing new opportunities to expand the Power Universe.

Apart from the Power franchise, Lennon serves as executive producer for the acclaimed HBO series Euphoria, Starz’s Hightown, and Netflix’s popular series Orange Is the New Black.

His work as a producer on FX’s Justified and Orange Is the New Black earned him Peabody Awards.

Additionally, he has won two NAACP Image Awards for the original Power series. Lennon is represented by CAA and attorney Erik Hyman at Paul Hastings.
