Blake Lively plans to use Britney Spears footage in Justin Baldoni trial

Blake Lively is reportedly preparing to present a jury with video footage of her former co-star Justin Baldoni in which he questioned whether he had “harassed” pop icon Britney Spears.

According to a Daily Mail report, the actress intends to utilise a 2017 interview with Fuse in which Baldoni recalls an awkward interaction with Spears during her guest appearance on Jane the Virgin.

In the clip, Baldoni describes approaching Spears for a hug, only for the singer to appear visibly uncomfortable.

“I had gone up to her and in my mind, we’re friends,” Baldoni stated in the interview, adding with a laugh, “We weren’t.” He continued, “And I went up and I gave her … I went, ‘Hey!,’ and I gave her a big hug and I think I scared her, because she was like, ‘Hi,’ and I just had this awkward moment of, like, ‘Did I just harass Britney Spears?’”

Lively reportedly aims to use the footage to draw parallels between his conduct with Spears and her own experiences on the set of It Ends With Us.

The legal development comes after Judge Lewis Liman dismissed ten of Lively’s thirteen claims against Baldoni, including sexual harassment and defamation, earlier this month.

However, three claims regarding breach of contract and retaliation will proceed to trial on 18 May 2026.

Legal teams have also produced a collaborative jury questionnaire mentioning high-profile figures such as Taylor Swift and Ryan Reynolds.

Baldoni, who rose to fame as Rafael Solano, has consistently denied all accusations of misconduct during their professional collaboration.
