Folk icon James Taylor is set to kick off his legendary 2026 tour this weekend, beginning a thirty-date journey across North America.
The tour officially launches on 26 April at the Yaamava Theatre in Highland, California. Performing alongside his renowned All-Star Band, the 77-year-old singer-songwriter will travel through major cities, including San Diego, Las Vegas, and New York.
Fans can expect a curated setlist featuring decades of timeless hits such as "Fire and Rain" and "You've Got a Friend," as well as "Sweet Baby James" and "Carolina in My Mind."
The 2026 itinerary, which was originally announced on 13 January, includes several prestigious multi-night stands.
Notable stops include resident performances at The Chelsea in Las Vegas on 9 and 10 May, and the annual July 3 and 4 tradition at Tanglewood in Lenox, Massachusetts.
The legendary drummer Steve Gadd will lead the All-Star Band, which also features seasoned musicians like Lou Marini, Michael Landau, and Jimmy Johnson.
This tour marks a significant moment for the six-time Grammy winner, who has maintained a consistent live presence for over five decades.
Following the initial California leg, Taylor will head to the East Coast for shows in Boston, Atlantic City, and Vienna, Virginia.
The North American leg of the tour is scheduled to wrap up on 26 September at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
Beyond his touring success, Taylor’s recent album "American Standard" won a Grammy in 2021, further solidifying his status as a persistent force in contemporary folk music.
