Stuart Bloom returns in the first look at the new Big Bang Theory spinoff

Discover how a comic book store owner accidentally triggers a multiverse catastrophe in Pasadena

Seven years after the original series concluded, the beloved universe of The Big Bang Theory returns to the screen with a fresh perspective. The upcoming HBO Max comedy, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, shifts the spotlight to fan-favorite Stuart Bloom, played by Kevin Sussman. The story kicks off when Stuart accidentally breaks a mysterious device built by Sheldon and Leonard, inadvertently triggering a multiverse Armageddon.

The spinoff features a familiar cast, including the return of Barry Kripke, Bert Kibler, and Stuart’s girlfriend, Denise. While the show focuses on these established characters, fans can also look forward to potential cameos from the original stars. Kaley Cuoco recently hinted at the possibility of reprising her role as Penny, reflecting on how much the character meant to her life. Combining sci-fi stakes with signature Pasadena humor, this new chapter in the franchise officially begins streaming this July.
