Microsoft Office now works with Logitech’s MX Creative Console in major upgrade
Logitech has unveiled a new series of Productivity Plugins for its complete MX range of accessories
Logitech has unveiled a new series of Productivity Plugins for its complete MX range of accessories, which includes its MX Creative Console, a competitor to the Stream Deck.
Since the console made its debut in September 2024, Logitech has amplified its features with plugins that support creativity-focused software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Lightroom, and Figma.
This now extends to productivity applications, like Microsoft Office’s Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with Slack and Notion.
Through Logitech’s Actions Ring menus, shortcuts, actions, and specific features in these apps can be swiftly accessed, supported by devices like the MX Master 4 mouse and the MX Mechanical Mini keyboard.
The Action Rings can be accessed using the Logi Options Plus app, which is also utilised to customise and tailor the functionality of different Logitech accessories.
The MX Creative Console allows you to set up dedicated buttons for frequent tasks across newly supported applications, such as replacing text in Word, adding cells in Excel, switching workspaces in Slack, or organising to-do lists in Notion.
The newest Productivity Plugins are now readily available for free on the Logi Marketplace.
In conjunction with the new plugins, Logitech has also announced enhancements to its Easy Switch feature, enabling devices like mice and keyboards to connect to and switch between numerous computers.
Rather than pressing the Easy Switch button on each device you wish to switch, you can configure the Logi Options Plus app so that pressing the button on the MX Keys S or MX Keys Mini keyboards will automatically switch an MX mouse and the MX Creative Dialpad as well.
One button press can switch up to three devices. Logitech indicates a firmware update is necessary for the accessories to be used with this feature, and there are plans to extend support to more keyboards in the MX line moving forward.
