Bill Maher mocks Blake Lively–Justin Baldoni dispute following settlement agreement

The comedian compared the long-running dispute to international peace negotiations

Bill Maher took aim at the widely publicized legal dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, poking fun at the case during a recent episode of his HBO program.

The long-running legal back-and-forth between the It Ends With Us co-stars recently concluded with a joint settlement, drawing significant media attention and widespread online debate.

While the agreement reportedly did not involve a financial payout, it effectively brought an end to months of public legal tension between both parties.

Opening his show, Maher joked about the resolution, comparing it to global peace negotiations.

“I know why you’re happy, great news. Peace at last. We have an agreement. A deal. A peace deal, not the Iran war, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni,” he said.

Maher continued to mock the drawn-out nature of the dispute, referencing the film at the center of the controversy.

“We’ve been reading about this for like a year… all this arguing and suing, and it turns out: no settlement money at all,” he said. “And all over a movie called It Ends With Us that everyone hated.”

The comedian also joked about the reception of the film, adding that it was “harder to get through than the Strait of Hormuz,” drawing laughter from the audience.

The settlement between Lively and Baldoni comes after months of public scrutiny surrounding allegations tied to the production of the film, which both stars worked on together.

A joint statement confirmed that the matter had been resolved ahead of a scheduled trial.

Following the announcement, social media users quickly reacted, with fans and observers debating the outcome and speculating on the impact of the case on both actors’ public images.

While the legal matter has now been settled, the discussion around it continues to generate commentary across entertainment and media circles.
