Dexter Keaton, the daughter of the late Diane Keaton, paid a moving tribute to the legendary actress on the first Mother’s Day since her passing.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the 30-year-old shared a series of sentimental throwback photographs documenting their bond, including scenes from the beach during her childhood and a tender moment from her 2021 wedding day.
"First Mother’s Day without you. I miss you more than words can say," Dexter wrote under her post. Her tribute continued with a heartfelt reflection on the void left by her mother’s absence: "Missing her voice, her hugs, her presence, and everything that made her home. I love you, Mom."
The iconic "Annie Hall" star passed away on 11 October 2025 at the age of 79, following a battle with pneumonia.
The Keaton family previously expressed their immense gratitude for the global outpouring of love, noting Diane’s steadfast commitment to animal welfare and the unhoused community.
Diane Keaton adopted Dexter in 1996 and her son, Duke, in 2001, raising them as a single parent after embarking on motherhood in her fifties.
Earlier this year, on what would have been their mother’s 80th birthday, both siblings revealed commemorative tattoos inspired by her most famous cinematic lines.
While Dexter’s ink reads "La Di Da," Duke’s tattoo references "Weird Old World," both serving as permanent homages to their mother's enduring professional legacy and unique spirit.
