The actor called the upcoming superhero film an 'ambitious' project
Sebastian Stan has finally addressed growing speculation surrounding his reported role in The Batman: Part II, hinting that the highly anticipated project could become one of the biggest challenges of his career.
The actor opened up about the rumoured casting during a recent interview with Deadline, where he appeared to confirm his involvement in the upcoming sequel directed by Matt Reeves.
Stan reportedly revealed that stepping into the world of Gotham would be both demanding and exciting, describing the film as an “ambitious movie” while praising Reeves as one of his favourite directors.
Rumours surrounding the actor’s involvement intensified after celebrity trainer Jason Walsh shared behind-the-scenes footage of Stan’s intense workout sessions on Instagram.
In the post, Walsh appeared to confirm the actor was preparing for the role of Harvey Dent opposite Robert Pattinson, who is set to reprise his role as Batman.
“Can’t explain just how excited we are to be training Sebastian for Batman. This is going to be epic!” Walsh wrote alongside the video, further fuelling fan excitement online.
The trainer also praised Stan personally, calling him “one of the kindest clients” he had ever worked with while showcasing clips of the actor’s demanding fitness routine.
During the interview, Stan reflected on the enduring appeal of superhero stories, explaining why characters like Batman and Spider-Man continue to resonate with younger audiences.
The actor noted that many fans connect with stories about outsiders trying to find their place in the world, adding that such themes often work in “very subtle ways.”
