King Charles shares a Freaky Friday moment with Ant and Dec at King's Trust celebration

King Charles demonstrated his well-known sense of humour during a playful on-stage exchange with beloved television presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly at a special gala to mark a significant milestone for The King's Trust.

The British Royal Family's official Instagram account shared a video clip of the lighthearted moment from the event, held earlier this week to celebrate the charity's 50th anniversary. The caption accompanying the post read simply: "Freaky Friday?!"

The Royal Family's post explained the exchange

The caption went on to describe the moment in full: "Earlier this week at 'A King's Trust Celebration', The King and Queen traded places with AntAndDec for a moment on stage to celebrate the charity's 50th anniversary."

It continued: "His Majesty began the charity, as Prince of Wales, in 1976 with the aim of improving the lives of disadvantaged young people in the UK. Since then, The KingsTrust has supported over 1.3 million young people in the UK — and even more across the world with KingsTrustInternational."

The post concluded: "Ant and Dec have supported The Trust for 25 years, partnering with the charity to help the next generation develop skills for the media industry and find jobs and training opportunities."

Warm laughter and a well-timed joke

Throughout the sketch, King Charles and Queen Camilla were visibly amused, laughing warmly as the Geordie duo took centre stage. Dec also took the opportunity to reference the pair's famously identical appearances, quipping that with the King and Queen alongside them, the audience could finally tell "which one's which" — a longstanding joke that has followed Ant and Dec throughout their careers.
