Elev8on Management debuts St8r AI tool at Cannes to connect US actors with European opportunities

Elev8on Management has officially launched St8r, its AI-powered tool designed to assess the commercial prospects of US talent across European film markets, with the debut taking place at the Cannes Film Festival.

What St8r does

Formerly known as Pulse by Elev8on — a name that was dropped after OpenAI acquired the domain Elev8on had planned to use — St8r is designed to give producers, distributors, financiers, and agents an objective, market-by-market assessment of the commercial weight carried by individual actors and actresses across Europe.

The tool offers what Elev8on describes as "full transparency," with every score broken down into readable sub-components and explicit market strength gauges. Producers can input their budgets to identify which actors might be viable for their projects, with pre-sales estimates also provided.

Strong early feedback

The tool was first reported at the Venice Film Festival last year and has been developed over recent years. Its Cannes debut followed a Beta testing phase involving ten European producers and distributors, who provided positive feedback and noted that the tool shifted casting conversations from instinct-based to objective. "The feedback so far has been well beyond our expectations, especially from sales agents and producers," said Lamy.

St8r is positioning itself as "the bridge between America's most promising talent and Europe's most prestigious opportunities."

Elev8on's broader ambitions

The launch comes a day after Elev8on signed three new clients — Melina Matthews, Ana Dumitrascu, and Asmara Abigail — all of whom have films screening at Cannes this month.

Whilst the Paris-based management house has historically focused on representing US talent in Europe, it is now expanding its roster to include European talent as part of a broader ambition to become "the European equivalent of Range Media Partners."

Elev8on currently works with agents at CAA, UTA, Gersh, Hamilton Hodell, and The Artists Partnership, alongside managers at M88, Untitled, and Range, to represent US talent across European markets.
