Rumer Willis credits 'spiritual work' for confidence and changing appearance

Rumer Willis opened up about her confidence, appearance, and personal growth, crediting “spiritual work” rather than cosmetic procedures for what she describes as a major transformation in how she looks and feels.

The 37-year-old actress and daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore appeared on The Inside Edit podcast, where she said she believes she is “hotter than I’ve ever been,” adding that the change in her appearance reflects internal healing rather than external enhancement.

“I’m hotter than I’ve ever been. That’s not because I’ve had a bunch of plastic surgery,” Willis said.

“I don’t even get Botox anymore… My face, literally, has physically changed from spiritual work I have done.”

Willis explained that over recent years, she has focused heavily on spirituality and self-reflection, which she believes helped shift her mindset and self-image. She described previously carrying insecurities about her appearance and “hiding” behind negative self-perceptions.

“I had this layer of, ‘Don’t see me. I’m not pretty,’” she said, adding that she worked to break that pattern over time.

The House Bunny star also reflected on how becoming a mother reshaped her identity.

Willis welcomed her daughter, Louetta in April 2023 with ex-partner Derek Richard Thomas, and said motherhood gave her a renewed sense of strength and purpose.

“Once I had Lou, all of a sudden I was like: ‘I can f****** do anything,’” she said.

Willis and Thomas later separated, but she has previously said they continue to co-parent their daughter.

In a social media post, she described herself as “single-moming it,” while expressing gratitude for her daughter and the relationship that brought her into her life.

During the podcast, Willis also spoke about dating and said she is open to finding a partner in the future, but only if they are aligned with her values and interested in building a family.

“If I meet a dude that is not interested in having kids… got to go,” she said, adding that she prioritizes emotional growth and self-awareness in any future relationship.

Willis continues to balance motherhood with her acting career while navigating life as a single parent.
