Arizona man held without bail after Legoland arrest for alleged girlfriend strangulation
Authorities arrested Jason Marchesano at Legoland California after months of following leads across Nevada and Arizona
An Arizona man has been arrested at Legoland in California on an outstanding warrant linked to an alleged violent attack on his girlfriend in October 2025.
Jason Marchesano was taken into custody on suspicion of attempted second-degree homicide, kidnapping, and aggravated assault following what authorities described as "a violent attack on his girlfriend" in Paulden, Arizona, on 28 October 2025.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) confirmed the arrest in a press release issued on Monday.
The alleged attack
According to police, Marchesano, 46, "strangled and restrained" the alleged victim using bedsheets taken from inside a fifth-wheel trailer located on a property in Paulden.
The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed publicly, managed to flee and subsequently reported the alleged attack to authorities. Officers determined that her injuries were "consistent with her account," according to the press release.
The property owners further corroborated the woman's version of events, informing police that they had witnessed an argument between Marchesano and the alleged victim.
Multi-state manhunt ends at Legoland
Following a trail of leads across Nevada and Arizona, investigators eventually tracked Marchesano down at Legoland in Carlsbad, California. The YCSO credited collaborative efforts for making the arrest possible.
"This arrest was made possible by strong investigative work, interagency partnership, and a community member who chose to speak up," the YCSO wrote in the press release.

Carlsbad Police arrested Marchesano on 27 May, and he was subsequently booked into the Vista Detention Facility, where he is currently being held as a fugitive without bail, according to arrest records reviewed by PEOPLE.
