Heather Locklear reflects on her life away from Hollywood spotlight
Heather Locklear explains that she doesn’t spend time with Hollywood circles
Heather Locklear recently opened up about her life outside of Hollywood’s social scene. Appearing on the Hollywood & Devine talk show, the Melrose Place and Dynasty star explained that she doesn’t spend time with Hollywood circles and has long chosen to live away from the industry’s spotlight.
“You’re a friend. You’re not a Hollywood friend,” host John Luciano said, to which Locklear replied, “Oh no. I would do anything.” Dru Hammer, co-host and mother of actor Armie Hammer, added that it was a “big deal” for Locklear to show up without excuses, unlike others in Hollywood.
Locklear emphasized that surrounding herself with genuine people is important. “Well, I do think that you hang out with people that are like you,” Hammer said. “Yeah, probably,” Locklear agreed, before clarifying, “I don’t really hang out with Hollywood people. I live so far away. Yeah. Like for many, many years. 40 years and stuff like that.”
Relationship with Lorenzo Lamas
Although she has distanced herself from Hollywood’s social circles, Locklear has recently made headlines for her relationship with actor Lorenzo Lamas. In April, a representative confirmed to E! News that the two were dating. They made their first public appearance as a couple at the Chiller Theatre Expo on April 26, and Lamas later accompanied Locklear to her daughter’s wedding in May.
Family Spotlight
Locklear’s daughter with Richie Sambora, Ava, married Tyler Farrar at the Rosewood Miramar in Montecito, California. The wedding drew attention not only for the family celebration but also for Locklear’s new relationship with Lamas, who attended as her guest.
