Ellen DeGeneres has shared a heartfelt message of support for longtime friend Kris Jenner following the death of her mother, Mary Jo Campbell.

The former talk show host took to Instagram to offer her condolences after Kris announced that her mother had died on July 16 at the age of 91.

Alongside a photo of Kris and Mary Jo, Ellen wrote that she and wife Portia de Rossi were thinking of the Kardashian family during their time of grief.

"Portia and I know how much you loved your mother and what a special force she was in your life and your entire family's life," Ellen wrote.

"I can't imagine the grief that you're feeling right now. We're sending you our love."

Kris revealed her mother's passing in an emotional social media post, describing Mary Jo as "the heart of our family."

"Today, we said goodbye to my beautiful Mommy MJ," she wrote. "There are no words that could ever capture what she has meant to me or the heartbreak of having to say goodbye."

The reality star went on to reflect on the values her mother instilled in the family, including unconditional love, kindness and the importance of cherishing every moment together.

"My mom was the heart of our family. She taught me everything that truly matters... to love your family fiercely, to be kind, to show up for the people you love, and to never take a single moment together for granted," Kris shared.

She also thanked her mother for her sacrifices, wisdom and unwavering love, admitting she would deeply miss their daily conversations, smile and laughter.

"Our hearts are broken, but we find comfort knowing that love like yours never truly leaves us," Kris added.

"Your love will live on in our family, in our traditions, in every moment we are together, and in every life you touched."
