The Shape of Water (2017)

The Shape of Water narrates the story of a mute woman who falls in love with an amphibious creature that lives in a water tank in the government laboratory.

The Guillermo del Toro directorial romantic-fantasy film stars Sally Hawkins and Doug Jones in lead role.

The Shape of Water performed well at the box office and won top awards at the 2015 Oscar event.

La La Land (2016):

Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone's starrer La La Land is a romantic musical tale of an aspiring pianist and a struggling actress. The film's vibrant colors and over the top music earned viewers' praise and performed well at the box office.

Moreover, at the 89th Academy Awards, La La Land fans were left confused after Henry Beatty wrongly announced the film as the winner of Best picture award.

Beatty announced La La Land instead of Moonlight as he took the wrong envelope.

The Revenant (2015)

A classic tale of survival in the American wilderness finally landed Leonardo DiCaprio an Oscar award for his best performance in the film.

DiCaprio took home the ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’ trophy after bagging several nominations in the same category over the years.

Lincoln (2012)

Lincoln - the biographical historical drama -that follows the story of America's greatest president, Abraham Lincoln, gained praise from both, critics and movie viewers.

Directed and produced by Steven Spielberg, Lincoln starred Daniel Day-Lewism in the lead role. The actor won Oscar's Best Actor award for his portrayal of the president role.
