Chris Rock shares why he did not hit Will Smith back at 2022 Oscars

Chris Rock finally broke his silence on the Oscars slap and revealed why he didn’t hit Will Smith back.

During his live Netflix special Chris Rock: Selective Outrage, the comedian addressed the infamous slap incident involving Smith for the first time and shared his response on he didn’t hit back at the Aladdin actor.

Rock said, “A lot people go, ‘Chris how come you didn’t do nothing back? How come you didn’t do nothing back that night?’

“Because I got parents, that’s why. Because I was raised. And you know what my parents taught me? Don’t fight in front of white people,” he added.

Noted that Smith slapped Rock on the stage of the 94th Academy Awards after the comedian made a joke about his wife who has alopecia.
