Legendary football player David Beckham treated fans with a sweet glimpse of his memorable interaction with Britain’s new monarch King Charles III and revealed that he presented His Majesty a coronation gift as well.

Beckham, who is a self-proclaimed ‘huge royalist’, surprised the internet as he gave King Charles III a jar of home-produced honey from his own beehive during the British Fashion Council Foundation Impact Day 2023 event in London on Thursday (May 18).

Taking to his Instagram, Beckham, 48, shared snaps taken at the ceremony, in which he was seen gifting a jar of honey - called 'DBee'z Sticky Stuff' - to the monarch.

King Charles, who was crowned the 40th monarch of the United Kingdom in a royal ceremony, held on May 6, also appeared delighted with Beckham’s sweet gesture.

Beckham captioned the pictures, “An honour to spend time with His Majesty The King as he presented The Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design britishfashioncouncil Congratulations labrumlondon / iamfods Plus a gift of some of my homemade honey for His Majesty turns out we share a love of beekeeping.”

According to Vanity Fair, Beckham, while revealing the honey jar, said, “I made some honey for you. It comes from my bees in Oxfordshire.”

King Charles replied, “Really?” adding that, “well, I’ll have to swap it with the one that I do.”

King Charles visited the 180 Studios art gallery in the Strand to present the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design.
