Leonardo DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone starrer Killers of the Flower Moon received a 9-minute standing ovation on its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 2023.

The entire team along including Leonardo, Lily and director Matrin Scorsese stood right in front of the audience and enjoyed a huge round of applause for straight 9-minutes.

The thunderous applause is being regarded as the ‘biggest and loudest’ so far in the history of film festival.

Director Scorsese’s went all emotional watching the great response that his film Killers of Flower moon received at the Cannes theatre. He then took the mic and expressed his feelings on stage.

“Thank you to the Osages. "Everyone connected with the picture. My old pals Bob and Leo, and Jesse and Lily. We shot this a couple of years ago in Oklahoma.”

“It’s taken it’s time to come around, but Apple did so great by us. There was lots of grass. I am a New Yorker. I was surprised. This was an amazing experience. We lived in that world", adressed the director.

Beside Leonardo DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone, Killer of Flower Moon also features Robert De Niro, Brendan Fraser, Tantoo Cardinal, Jesse Plemons, John Lithgow, reports E!
