Priyanka Chopra who recently showcased her culinary skills on a TV show, has stated that cooking is not her strong suit.
Talking about why she never learned cooking, theCitadelactress revealed that her father discouraged her from working in the kitchen.
She said: “My dad grew up in a conservative family and saw a lot of the girls having to always feel that they needed to be in the kitchen, it was a societal pressure.”
“He did not want me to grow up like that, so he discouraged it, he would be like, ‘What are you doing in the kitchen? Come here!’ So I just never learnt it,” she explained.
The 40-year-old actress added: “I have a very discerning palate. I like all kinds of food but I am just not good at doing it. Culinary skills aren’t my strong suit; let’s just put it that way.”
On the work front, Priyanka Chopra was last seen in the film Love Again opposite Sam Heughan.
