Netflix’s smash hit series The Witcher makers have dropped major update ahead of the release of the much-awaited season three of the show and fans cannot control their excitement.

As per the latest reports, The Witcher has been renewed for fifth season. The series’ casting director, Sophie Holland, confirmed the news during an interview with Deadline.

"We’re just about to start filming on season four with Liam Hemsworth and there will be a short gap then we go straight into season five," Sophie told Deadline.

Sophie Holland shared that the show will indeed come back for at least fifth time. The news came after the show’s lead star Henry Cavill, who has portrayed the titular role of Geralt of Rivia, previously announced his departure from the role.

As per reports, Liam Hemsworth will now play the iconic silver-haired monster slayer in the upcoming season.

However, fans are waiting for an official confirmation on Hemsworth joining the series.

The Witcher is created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. It is based on the book by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski.

The Witcher season 3 will begin streaming on Netflix from June 29, 2023.
