Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor recently revealed why he didn't let his children to watch his movies.

The Kabir Singh actor also reflected on why his wife Mira Rajput wanted their children, Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor, to watch the iconicJab We Met.

In an interview, Shahid Kapoor explained that he didn't like his children seeing him due to his roles. However, Jab We Met was a romantic comedy, and Mira Rajput wanted their children to watch it since there were no scenes of him hitting anyone or doing intense actions.

The 2007 film, starring Shahid and Kareena Kapoor, was re-released in theaters for a limited time this year in February.

The Vivah actor further said, "I don't like them seeing me too much. So, on their first day, their first question was, 'Why do people come up to you?' Because they hadn't seen much of my work."

Shahid also said, "now, recently, they just saw Jab We Met. It was re-released in theaters. So, my mom took them to see it, and Mira wanted them to go and see it. She was like, 'This is one film where you are not hitting people and doing all this intense stuff. It is a family-viewing kind of film, so I want them to go and see it.' So, that was, I think, the first film of mine that they saw."

On the work front, Shahid Kapoor's upcoming film Bloody Daddy is set to release on June 9, 2023.
