Air New Zealand crowned 'world's best airline'

Air New Zealand left Qatar airways behind as it received the finest airline title in the world as per the AirlineRatings.com.

The Safety and Product ranking website announced the awards for 2023 and it goes to the much booked Air NZ.

It has been the 7th time since 2013 that Air NZ topped on the list .

12 key factors contribute to the airlines win including it's fleet, services, passenger reviews , investment rate, product offerings and the staff relations.

Not only this, Air NZ also won the award for having the best economy class and comfort.

To note, Qatar's flagship carrier Qatar Airways finished second followed by Etihad airways, Korean airlines and Singapore airlines.

The CEO for Air NZ , Greg Foran, expressed he is absolutely proud of the hard work the crew did on board to get Air NZ that recognition and praise.

"We owe our success to the dedication and hard work of our 12,000 Air New Zealanders who wake each morning to connect Kiwis with each other and the world," said Greg.

Further adding, "this award belongs to them for their grit, commitment, and the exceptional service they deliver every day. It is a sign that we have got our swing back and that our relentless focus on doing the basics brilliantly and delivering our Kia Mau strategy with precision and ambition is working."

"The airline still faces challenges of wait times, on-departure times arrivals, lost baggage and refunds."

Since the novel coronavirus kicked in travelers were fed up with the extensive delays in flights and poor customer contact.

Despite all the challenges Air NZ is labelled one of the best airlines in the world.
