The Hollywood actress Amanda Seyfried has reacted to the imprisonment sentence of the disgraced American biotech entrepreneur Elizabeth Holmes.

During her conversation with ET on Thursday, Seyfried, who portrayed the role of Holmes in The Dropout, spoke out against the entrepreneur’s prison sentence.

"Those kids, it sucks for them. It sucks that there's two human beings that don't have a mom for a really long time," Seyfried said of Holmes two children.

"[It's] just weird. It sucks. It just sucks. It's just really depressing," she added.

The Dropout is a Hulu crime series, it depicts the story of Elizabeth Holmes’ played by Seyfried, loses everything in the blink of an eye, as she develops a failed healthcare technology that puts millions of patients at risk.

It was released on March 3, 2022, nearly two months after Holmes was found guilty of fraud.

The 39-year-old had been accused of falsely claiming that her company Theranos’s blood tests could detect multiple deceases with just a few drops of blood.

As per the recent developments, Holmes has reported to a federal prison in Texas on Tuesday to begin her 11-year sentence.

Furthermore, Holmes has appealed her suit, and her plea to remain out of prison during the appeal has been rejected by the authorities.
