Brad Pitt strikes at Angelina Jolie for ‘secretly’ selling winery amid custody battle

Brad Pitt claimed that his ex-wife Angelina Jolie has “secretly” sold off her stakes from the winery they both bought together in 2008.

The Babylon star said that Jolie “secretly” planned to sell her share of the French estate, Château Miraval they both own, to strike back at him during their custody battle.

As per the legal documents obtained by Pagesix, Pitt revealed that he and the Maleficent actress made a commitment of never selling their share in the $30 million property without other’s approval.

However, after their divorce in 2019, Jolie decided to negotiate a buy-out option with Pitt, 59, while agreeing to divide the business up 68 percent in his favor, because the Fury actor had invested more resources in the project.

In 2021, a press release revealed that the 47-year-old actress had sold her 50 percent stake to a Russian oligarch.

As per the outlet, Pitt alleged that his “vindictive” ex-wife “collaborated in secret” plot with Yuri Shefler, to ensure he would be “kept in the dark.”

The documents also revealed that Julie “no longer wanted to sell to Pitt” in the “wake of the adverse custody ruling,” in which the actor was granted joint custody of their six children.

“Her decision to terminate negotiations with Pitt was intentional and pretextual,” the documents noted.

The filings further added, “as will be demonstrated at trial, Jolie’s actions were unlawful, severely and intentionally damaging Pitt and unjustly enriching herself.”

“Stoli and Jolie have sought to force Pitt into a partnership with a stranger, and worse yet, a stranger with poisonous associations and intentions,” the legal papers further alleged.
