Tom Cruise is seemingly still coping with Shakira’s rejection.

The Top Gun: Maverick actor, who considered Shakira his “dream woman” after spending some quality time with the Columbian singer at the 2023 Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami, faced nothing but rejection.

Cruise, 60, wanted to date the Waka Waka songstress right after meeting her, who had no interest in dating the Hollywood A-lister.

According to an insider, “Tom is an all-or-nothing character, he goes from zero to 100.”

The source also added, “he doesn’t pause for a breath,” and this trait of the Mission Impossible star pushes away the potential matches.

“His friends have gently advised that he’d do well to dial it back, but that simply isn’t Tom’s way,” they continued, “it can be a little over-whelming — claustrophobic, almost." for any lady he tries to pursue.

Cruise’s all-or-nothing dating style was quite prominent at the sports car event on May 7, where he spent some hours with the Hips Don’t Lie singer.

“He was telling everyone they had incredible chemistry and taking it as a slam dunk, they’d be dating in no time,” the source noted.

However, the Edge of Tomorrow actor was affected when Shakira rejected him and was later spotted with F1 driver Lewis Hamilton.

“It was a huge dent to Tom’s ego,” said the insider, “It stung all the more because he considers Lewis a buddy.”

Shakira parted ways with long-time boyfriend Gerard Piqué in June 2022 and currently living her best life in Miami.
