The “catastrophic implosion” of the submersible Titan, owned by the OceanGate company, on its expedition to the RMS Titanic ship wreckage, captured the attention of millions over the last week.

Recently, YouTube sensation MrBeast has claimed that he turned down an invitation to visit the ruins of Titanic on the doomed submarine and left his fans and followers in shock.

The tragic Titan submersible incident, which claimed fives lives of billionaire explorers onboard the doomed submarine, made headlines all over the world.

MrBeast aka Jimmy Donaldson revealed that he had been invited on OceanGate’s submersible earlier in June but he ultimately declined the offer.

The popular YouTube creator, who is known for his expensive stunts and challenges, turned to Twitter and shared, “I was invited earlier this month to ride the titanic submarine, I said no.”

“Kind of scary that I could have been on it,” MrBeast tweeted on Sunday.

MrBeast also shared a screenshot of a text conversation, in which he appears to invite someone else along the Titanic expedition.

The tragic Titan incident killed five people, who were visiting the shipwreck. British adventurer Hamish Harding and father and son Shahzada and Suleman Dawood were killed on board.

The chief executive of OceanGate, Stockton Rush, and French national Paul-Henri Nargeolet were also among the passengers who lost their lives.
