The mountain in New Hampshire, which is famed for its harsh weather conditions experienced its snowiest June this year.

According to the Mount Washington Observatory, recent snowfall on Mount Washington has boosted the month's total to 8.4 inches (21.3 centimetres) of snow.

It has also been reported that by Monday morning, almost all of the had melted due to a return to warmer temperatures in the region afterwards.

As per the shared statistics, the observatory stated on Facebook that the last snowfall of the season usually happens in early to mid-June most years.

It is also noted that every day of the month, snowfall was brought early by a quasi-stationary low that was positioned over the area.

“With another low and cold air approaching in the days ahead, we could see that total grow further,” the observatory said in a statement.
