A top BBC presenter has been hit with accusations of allegedly engaging a teenager in a disturbing activity, as reported by The Sun.
As per the media outlet reports, an unnamed male BBC presenter allegedly paid the 17-year-old young individual a hefty amount of money for sexually explicit photos.
Following the outrage, BBC has initiated an investigation on the matter and announced show cause notice for the presenter.
According to the details, the U.K. broadcast channel has been told it needs to "get a grip" after fresh claims have come to the light, alleging that the presenter stripped to his underwear during a video call with the teenager that he allegedly had paid £35,000 for the explicit pictures.
In new allegations published in The Sun on Sunday, the young teenager’s mother said she was "shocked" after her child showed her a screenshot of the video chat.
She said, in the video, the man appeared to be "leaning forward, getting ready for my child to perform for him."
"My child told me, 'I have shown things' and this was a picture from some kind of video call," she added.
Meanwhile, the presenter is now off-air and the BBC has reportedly launched an investigation, although the corporation has not confirmed this.
