Gal Gadot confesses she 'never meant to win' Miss Israel beauty pageant

Gal Gadot disclosed that her participation in the Miss Israel beauty competition was motivated by the desire to tell a unique story to her grandkids.

During her debut in Hot One, the Wonder Woman star revealed that performing her own stunts and winning beauty pageants all while eating super spicy chicken wings.

The 38-year-old  shared, “When I went to Miss Israel in Israel, to begin with, I went for the experience and so I could tell my grandkids that grandma — and then I won and that was shocking.”

Gal  told host Sean Evans that she “never meant to win” and she “came for fun, and all of a sudden — it's funny, you're 18, you’re not taking things very seriously.”

The Red Notice star further told the host that the only part she enjoyed during her pageant days was the opening dance sequence.

Earlier in 2017, The Flash actress also disclosed acting was not on her list while conversing with Sunday Today for an interview with Willie Geist, “I never thought about becoming an actress and the opportunity kind of came my way.”

Gal  continued, “I started to become more curious about it, and then I fell in love with the profession — but it wasn’t like I was growing up dreaming of becoming an actress.”

Gal Gadot is all set to impress the audience in latest released thriller Heart of Stone. She is sharing the screen with Jamie Dornan and Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt.

The film released on Netflix on August 11, 2023.
