Tina Fey mentions heated conversation between Jimmy Fallon, Amy Poehler in ‘Bossypants’

Tina Fey has mentioned the heated backstage interaction between Jimmy Fallon and Amy Poehler in her autobiography Bossypants, the portion which addresses the interaction has gone viral on the internet. 

The Mean Girls actress candidly discussed the intense conversation that took place during the NBC variety show between Jimmy and Amy.

Tina wrote, “Amy Poehler was new to SNL and we were all crowded into the seventeenth-floor writers’ room, waiting for the Wednesday night read-through to start.”

“Amy was in the middle of some such nonsense with Seth Meyers across the table, and she did something vulgar as a joke. I can’t remember what it was exactly, except it was dirty and loud and ‘unladylike,'” she further continued.

The Baby Mama startled further added, “Jimmy Fallon turned to her and in a faux-squeamish voice said, ‘Stop that! It’s not cute! I don’t like it.'”

Tina recalled that Amy dropped whatever she was doing and yelled “I don’t (expletive) care if you like it,” at the former host of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

The author noted that Jimmy was shocked, while Amy went on to joke to Seth.

“Amy made it clear that she wasn’t there to be cute. She wasn’t there to play wives and girlfriends in the boys’ scenes. She was there to do what she wanted to do and she did not (expletive) care if you like it,” the passage read.
