Angelina Jolie top 10 must-watch movies

Foxfire (1996):

Angelina Jolie shines as Margaret Sadovsky in Foxfire. Directed by Annette Haywood-Carter, this film, loosely based on Joyce Carol Oates' novel, tells the story of a group of rebellious young women exploring their newfound empowerment.

Gia (1998):

Angelina Jolie's stunning performance as the iconic Gia Carangi in the biopic Gia is remarkable. The film traces Gia's meteoric ascent in the fashion world, followed by a tragic downward spiral marked by addiction and illness.

Jolie's portrayal is a tour de force, earning her both a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award for her performance.

Girl, Interrupted (1999):

The film revolves around Suzanna, played by Winona Ryder, who reluctantly commits herself to a psychiatric facility after a suicide attempt.

Inside, she encounters Lisa, a fellow patient with a penchant for chaos. Jolie's portrayal of Lisa is both enigmatic and disturbing, stealing the spotlight and earning her the Best Supporting Actress Oscar.

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001):

Angelina Jolie's portrayal of the iconic video game character was a delightful blend of intellectualism and agile action in the film.

Jolie confidently embraced the role, adorning the character with an English accent that added authenticity.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005):

Angelina Jolie takes on one of her most iconic and memorable roles alongside Brad Pitt in Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

The film revolves around Jane and John Smith, a seemingly ordinary married couple leading secret lives as assassins working for rival agencies.

When their true identities come to light, they are tasked with eliminating each other, but their genuine emotions start to blur the lines.

Changeling (2008):

Directed by Clint Eastwood, the film delves into the harrowing true story of Christine Collins and the Wineville Chicken Coop murders.

After Christine's son, Walter, vanishes, the police claim to have found him, reuniting mother and child.

However, Christine played by Angelina Jolie insists that the boy is an imposter, leading to her being labeled delusional and confined to a psychiatric ward by the authorities.

Salt (2010):

Angelina Jolie takes on the role of Evelyn Salt, a globe-trotting operative whose true loyalties are shrouded in mystery.

Despite its potential, the film falls short of establishing a successful franchise, much like some of Jolie's previous action ventures.

Maleficent (2014):

Angelina Jolie takes on the iconic role of the evil queen from Sleeping Beauty in Maleficent.

The film provides a fresh perspective on the character, offering a sympathetic portrayal of Maleficent and exploring her origins.

Eternals (2021):

Angelina Jolie demonstrated her ability to shine even in the midst of a crowded cast in Eternals.

While the film itself may have left some disappointed, Jolie's portrayal of Thena, a superhuman warrior with a unique set of powers and inner struggles, manages to stand out.

Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021):

Directed by Taylor Sheridan, the film offered Angelina Jolie a cathartic role during a personal struggle.

Portraying smokejumper Hannah Faber on the run from assassins, Jolie channeled her own pain into the character.

Despite mixed reviews for the film, Jolie's performance garnered praise and solidified her status as a powerful lead in action movies.
