The school, named Colegio Nuevo Bosque, is expected to serve over a thousand children, providing them with access to quality education and a brighter future.

Shakira, a native of Barranquilla, took to Instagram on Monday, to share her joy and gratitude, posting a series of heartwarming pictures that captured moments of her playing and bonding with the children at the school.

In her caption, she expressed her happiness and thanked her allies who contributed to making this initiative possible.

Through her charitable foundation, Pies Descalzos (Barefoot Foundation), Shakira has been a relentless advocate for education.

Her caption originally in Spanish is translated as, "I am happy to have been able to inaugurate another school in Barranquilla, Colegio Nuevo Bosque will serve more than a thousand children, thanks as always to our allies who made this possible!"


Her foundation's mission is to improve educational opportunities for underprivileged children in Colombia and around the world.
