Actor Chris Evans, known for his roles as Captain America, has deliberately slowed down his acting career since marrying Alba Baptista in 2021.

In a recent GQ cover story, the 42-year-old shared that he hasn't taken on any work this year and intends to continue on this path, relishing his newfound leisure.

This decision follows a hectic 2022 during which Evans starred in three consecutive films.

Initially, when he began dating his now-wife Baptista, he told her he typically only accepted one movie role per year and aimed to minimize his workload.

However, their situation took a turn, and they ended up spending a year in Atlanta due to filming commitments.

Reflecting on this experience, Evans exclaimed, "And even when that year was happening, I was like, man, never again."

The three movies that occupied Evans in 2022 were Ghosted, a romantic comedy co-starring Ana de Armas that premiered on Apple TV+ in April, and two upcoming films: Pain Hustlers and Red One.

Pain Hustlers debuted earlier this month at the Toronto International Film Festival and is scheduled for a theatrical release in October.

Red One, a Christmas-themed action movie, is slated for later this year.

Chris Evans and Alba Baptista recently tied the knot, marrying in Boston on September 9, though they hadn't publicly disclosed their engagement.

Their relationship came into the public eye after the 2022 holiday season, with Evans offering glimpses of their life together on social media.
