Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max impresses users with optical zoom features
Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max devices will launch on Friday Sept, 22, 2023

Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max is ready to hit the market in four stunning new finishes, including black, white, blue, and natural titanium.
As the new sets are ready to hit the stores on Friday, September 22, the pre-orders began a week ago on Sept. 15, and users are super impressed with the handsets’ latest camera and zooming features.
Some of the users claimed that with the latest iPhone 15 Pro, Apple is slowly winning Android diehard fans over.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max's camera features a new zoom lens. Moreover, Apple introduced a new image processing algorithm for the main 48MP camera with an output of 24MP photos.
Apple's VP of camera software engineering Jon McCormack also explained why the iPhone 15 Pro Max's tetraprism lens system is limited to 5x optical zoom, instead of 10x like on Samsung's Galaxy S23 Ultra.
In an interview with Numerama, Jon discussed Apple’s Telephoto lens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max feature, calling it the company's most advanced camera stabilization system yet.
The features include a combination of optical image stabilization and an autofocus 3D sensor-shift module.
Jon McCormack said the iPhone's 5x zoom lens can be stabilized "incredibly well" compared to a 10x lens. "If you look at the 10x zoom, unless you have the steadiest hands in the world or a tripod, it's really difficult to use."
