Netflix has sent waves of excitement through its global audience as it dropped a tantalizing teaser for game show Squid Game: The Challenge on Friday.
With fans eagerly awaiting the highly-anticipated reality show of the hit series Squid Game, this teaser serves as a tantalizing glimpse into what's to come.
The streaming platform has drawn inspiration from the immensely popular TV series Squid Game and transformed it into a real-life reality show.
Netflix also confirmed the release date of the much-awaited reality game show based on the hit series Squid Games which was created by Hwang Dong-hyuk. The game show will be released on November 22, 2023.
Within the game show, a total of 456 contestants hailing from various parts of the world will compete for an astonishing cash prize of $4.56 million.
The teaser also hinted at the reappearance of the "Red Light, Yellow Light" challenge.
The challenge is based on Squid Game, a South Korean survival drama series created by Hwang Dong-hyuk for Netflix.
The show's logline read, “Though the reality version of ‘Squid Game‘ isn’t a matter of life or death, there’s still a lot on the line.”
It further stated, “456 players will compete to win $4.56 million, the largest cash prize in reality television history. Through a series of games, each player will be pushed to their limits and forced to ask themselves just how far they’ll go to win, with opportunistic alliances, cutthroat strategies, and timely betrayals to follow."
