Max Verstappen won Podium 1 and crowned Red Bull with 2023 Constructors' Champion
Max Verstappen won the Japanese GP by beating Lando Norris with 19 seconds and crowned Red Bull with the 2023 Constructors' Champion title.
On Sunday, Max started the race with pole position after dominating Quali. After a deadly battle in 53 laps, the Dutch made RB the first team to win Constructors' Championship with six races remaining.
As reported by Sky Sport, Max said, “Unbelievable weekend. To win here was great. The most important thing was to win the constructors. Very proud for everyone working at the track and at the factory. We are having an incredible year.”
McLaren driver Oscar Piastri gets first podium in F1:
Despite being the rookie of the season, Oscar Piastri secured P3 while his teammate Lando Norris won P2.
Piastri told the media, “It feels pretty special definitely. I will remember it for a very, very long time. I can't thank the team enough for giving me this opportunity.”
“There are not many people who get this opportunity in their whole life and I've managed to have it in my first season. It wasn't my best race ever but it was enough to get a trophy at the end, so super happy,” he continued.
