Kate Middleton has reportedly viewed Meghan Markle as a "threat" to the Royal family's reputation and traditions due to her ongoing feud with Prince Harry and his wife.
Ever since the Duke of Sussex and the Suits actress left the Royal Family, tension has been growing between Kate, 41, and Harry’s wife.
Louella Alderson, a relationship expert, told Mirror, “Meghan and Kate have been played against each other in the media, with constant comparisons being made between them. This could have added pressure and tension to their relationship, especially if either of them has a competitive side.”
She further said, “It could also be that Kate views Meghan as a threat to the royal family's reputation and traditions. It seems that she has strong values and it's possible that Meghan's behaviour and choices don't align with Kate's beliefs.”
Louella noted that even though the Princess of Wales has “always” maintained a dignified silence around controversies but it can be “hard” for her to maintain this level of composure all the time.
According to the expert, one's emotions may eventually erupt if they are constantly “under scrutiny.”
The co-founder of So Syncd recalled, “It's possible that this is what happened during the bridesmaid’s dress fitting before Meghan and Harry’s wedding.”
While candidly talking about the recent Invictus Games, Louella explained, “It’s certainly possible that Kate may have been feeling uncomfortable or unhappy about the positive attention that Harry and Meghan were receiving during the Invictus Games.”
“This could indicate underlying feelings of competition or resentment on Kate's part towards Meghan,” she concluded.
