Amber Heard dishes details on her character in last film 'In the Fire'

Amber Heard who is gearing to hit  the screens in upcoming film In the Fire after a year of her legal battle with ex-husband Johnny Depp, has dished details on her character.

During her latest conversation with Entertainment Tonight, the Aquaman star weighed in her upcoming movie and her role of a New York doctor, Grace Burnham.

"It is in many ways a classic thriller or horror film but in so many ways it's fresh and new. It's been a real challenge and a joy to be part of it," Heard explained.

She added, "[Grace is] a pioneer of sorts, she is a doctor at a time when no other woman was occupying that field. And she's kind of thrust into a world that is not her own. A culture that is very foreign to her and one that is entrenched in deep religious belief and superstition."

"She is put in a situation where, despite it all, she must believe in herself even though everything around her is falling apart," added Johnny Depp's ex-wife.

Prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike, while gushing about her film In the Life,  Heard said, "the film is a meditation on the almost supernatural powers of love told through a strong-willed and independent woman at the turn of the 20th century. I feel honored to be part of this labor of love and to be the lead in Conor Allyn’s vision."

 She continued, "I feel lucky to be surrounded by such an amazing cast. They’re as dedicated and magical as the characters they playul."

In the Life is scheduled to release on October 13, 2023, it is a  thriller movie which revolves around a New York doctor who travels to a remote area in the 1890s to cure a disturbed boy with inexplicable abilities. 

The American-Italian production includes Eduardo Noriega, Lorenzo McGovern Zaini, Luca Calvani and Yari Gugliucci.

Heard's last Hollywood project, who has moved to Madrid, Spain, shortly after high-profile legal battle with Johnny Depp in 2022.
