Taylor Swift fans think 'Is It Over Now' a 'diss' at Harry Styles
Taylor Swift has released her 5th re-recorded album '1989 (Taylor's Version' on October 27, 2023

Taylor Swift vault track Is It Over Now from her re-recorded album 1989 (Taylor's Version), released on October 27, 2023, sent Twitter into frenzy, with many fans speculating that it's a diss at Swift's ex Harry Styles.
As the 33-year-old pop icon dropped the re-recorded version of her 2014's album 1989, when she was dating the Don't Worry Darling actor, a vault track Is It Over Now immediately caught fans' attention for its meaningful lyrics.
Soon after the song made it to the official YouTube channel of the Anti-Hero songstress and the other music streaming giants, it created quite a buzz.
The Lover songstress in her song seemingly hits out at one of her ex-boyfriends for being a "lying traitor" and sleeping with a slew of models days after they broke up.
As the lyrics of Is It Over Now details Swift's split from Styles, in the second verse that goes, “When you lost control / Red blood, white snow,” seemingly hinted at the same accident that inspired the bridge of “Out of the Woods,” which reportedly happened while on a ski trip with the singer.
“Remember when you hit the brakes too soon? 20 stitches in a hospital room,” sang Swift on the 2014 track.
The song goes on as, "Let's fast forward to three hundred awkward blind dates later (Oh), If she's got blue eyes, I will surmise that you'll probably date her (Oh), You dream of my mouth before it called you a lying traitor (Oh), You search in every model's bed for somethin' greater, baby."
"Was it over when she laid down on your couch? Was it over when he unbuttoned my blouse? “Come here,” I whispered in your ear, In your dream as you passed out, baby," the Midnights hit maker concluded the track.
Fans reaction:
Immediately after the release of Is It Over Now, swifties could not hold back and flooded X formerly Twitter, with their witty yet hilarious reactions.
One fan tweeted, "harry after listening to is it over now?"
While another wrote, "Harry styles listening to “Is It Over Now?” thinking he was safe from the rerecordings."
"me after hearing is it over now?" a third quipped with a hilarious photo.
One user fan noted, "is it over now is like style in a sense that in both songs she’s saying he was seeing someone else and there’s obviously jealousy and pettiness between them but like she can’t be fully mad at him for being with another bc she’s doing the same thing seeing someone else too."
"If I lost Harry Styles I too would never get over it so I completely understand this album honestly," another tweeted.
